Our construction division incorporates both heavy equipment and pipe fitting. We specialize in facility retrofit encompassing anything from a small tenant finish improvement to a total building retrofit that would take the building completely down to a shell and installation of an all new system.

Design assistance and manufacture of ultrviolet (UV) sterilization systems for National Jewish Hospital Respiratory Center.

Design and installation of a 18,000 sq. ft. -10 degrees F. storage facility.

Design and installation of a process chiller for a cooling pond serving a cobalt radiation source utilized for sterilization of surgical packs.

Numerous free-cooling retrofits including PFHX to 1000 tons, evaporative cooling to 168,000 cfm, and air side systems.

Design of a complete retrofit of a 155,000 sq. ft. office building. Although Economy was not awarded the job, the owner ultimately relied on Economy to complete the work, supervise job close out and punchlist, as well as to operate the single tennant facility.

This particular building owner learned the hard way that the lowest price is not always the best selection.

Design and retrofit of a call management center for the US Postal Service:

The 70,000 sq.ft. facility employs 1,200 people and operates 24 hours a day. The complete retrofit incorporates 310 tons of mechanical cooling, a state of the art building automation system, as well as dx cooling for the 7,000 sq.ft. data center.

Design and retrofit of a major hotel. All mechanical systems were upgraded or replaced while the hotel stayed open for business. This D/B project had a total cost of 2.6 million dollars.
